Thanks to Dr. Batya Brutin who told me about this painting and helped me get it. The image of Anne Frank is one of the images that represent the Holocaust. Linguistic Analysis of the Burrows Cave Hoax

David Grant Stewart published an article titled: Linguistic Analysis of the Burrows Cave Hoax. In the introduction he wrote:
The Burrows Cave collection represent group of more than three thousand artifacts allegedly discovered by Mr. Russell Burrows at a cave in an undisclosed location in Illinois. The Egyptian and eastern Mediterranean motifs found in artifacts from Burrows Cave has led to considerable speculation and controversy. Cuneiform, Etruscan, Phoenician, Egyptian, and other characters are found on Burrows Cave. If valid, the implications of the Burrows Cave would be astounding.

One of the photos has the following caption:
Judah - in the context of a Semitic head and a מגן דוד MOGEN DAVID, Shield of David…I have translated above four characters which I think should be read “Judah.”

Israeli State (Menorah) emblem appears alongside a Star of David symbol on an iron barrier at Gaza St., Jerusalem, near the Israeli Prime Minister's House. I’m quite proud of this shot because the sun was too intense and I waited for a bus to cast some shadow on the barrier.

Judenstern

six pointed star Judenstern

Judenstern is a homonym. It is the German name of the Yellow Badge and, at the same time, the name of German Shabbat lamps, which were designed in the shape of a six-pointed star.

It is most interesting to note that it precedes researcher Uri Ofir’s theory about the connection between the Star of David and the Tabernacle Menorah, which is also a kind of a lamp.

Marvadiah

From: http://www.metropolitancarpet.com/html/body_bezalel__antique_oriental_rugs.html

With the revival of Jewish life in Jerusalem on early 20th Century and the popularity of Arts and Crafts movement, an art school was established in Jerusalem under the name Bezalel. Bezalel is the Biblical name of the Devine “Artist” who executed the design of the Ark and the sanctuary built by Israelites, following the Egyptian exodus. Between the years of 1906 and 1931 many rugs were made in this school with mostly Jewish motifs and Art Nouveau styles. This workshop was called “Marvadiah” (Marvad in Hebrew means carpet) and many of these rugs are inscribed either Bezalel or Marvadiah. Since the practice of carpet weaving started there under the Ottoman Empire, the construction and the color pallet of these rugs resembles many Anatolian rugs of the period.

Tearing (Kriah)

israeli art Tearing

Israeli painter Sabina Saad ripped a hole in the cloth of the drawing. The hole that is ripped is in the form of yellow patch. It expresses the sorrow on loss of the six of millions Jews during the holocaust. According to Jewish custom mourners tear their outer garment. Every Jew, who was present while another Jew died, must tear his shirt from the front near to the neck.

Invitation to Herzl Face to Face Art & Design Exhibit

I hope to visit this important exhibition, and to take pictures of the items that “mention” our national emblem, which is a synonym emblem to the image of Herzl, which means that they can replace each other in the representation of Zionism. Herzl has an enormous part in the distribution of the Star of David images, and it seems that the Stars of David graciously helped promote the image of Herzl.

Genesis Series At A Kindergarten In Canada

star of David frames israeli art

Mindy Klein, a preschool teacher of 3-4 year olds at Netivot Hatorah Day School in Toronto, Canada spent numerous hours on the Internet researching Israeli artists and was instantly struck by the Genesis Series paintings of Israeli artist Dick Ben Dor, depicting the seven days of creation on star of David frames. She brought samples of a few selected artists for the children and they unanimously chose to focus on the artwork of Dick Ben Dor. The children were very enthusiastic about their creations influenced by Dick Ben Dor’s series and eventually there was an exhibition of these works on Yom Yerushalayim. Mindy Klein sent me this extremely cute photo .
